Check Point 2

Behind you in the field is a stack of cinder blocks.  These cinder blocks are locked together by a combination lock.

If you were situationally aware you would have seen the riddles at CP #1 and started having one team member solve them.  The solution to those riddles will give you the combination to the pad lock.  Go to the blocks and remove one, then relock them.

If the lock does not open there is a very good chance you did not solve the riddles correctly.  Try them again.

If you haven't started the riddles then you are lucky!  There is a large, wet,  and cold trash can in the immediate vicinity that has your riddles at the bottom.  Go get one.  We're intentionally not telling you where the can is.  But it's within 50 meters.

Once you’ve got your block take it to the Texas State Capitol.  There you need to find the Spanish American War Veterans Memorial Statue.  Look on the north face of the memorial and copy the down the following pairs of characters. A character is any letter, number, symbol, or punctuaion. Spaces are not characters, so count as if the spaces did not exist.

As an example, we have completed the first pair of characters for you. We recommend you use the format for the remaining pairs.

line 1, characters 10 and 11 - example: 5 --> 1

line 7, characters 7 and 8

line 2, characters 18 and 19

line 3, characters 3 and 4

line 6, characters 6 and 7

line 4, characters 2 and 3

line 3, characters 15 and 16

line 5, characters 16 and 17

line 4, characters 6 and 7

It is important that these pairs of characters are written in order.

Next Snap a picture of your team in front of the Capitol and send it to 512-731-4945.  All of the members of your team must be in the picture.

You will get a reply text with the address of CP#3.
